Privacy Policy

BuyLane is a personal pre-purchase tracker. This policy explains what we collect and why. In short: we collect only what’s needed to run the app for you, and we don’t sell your data.

What we collect

• Account: your email, a securely hashed password, and an optional display name.
• Your content: the items, projects, prices, currencies, links, notes, and statuses you add.
• Billing (Pro only): payments are handled by our processor, Polar, as merchant of record. We store a customer and subscription identifier — never your card details.
• Browser extension: when you add an item, it sends the product details you chose (name, price, link) plus your personal token to your BuyLane account. It only reads a page when you click it.

How we use it

To operate the service for you: store your lists, sync across your devices, and process a Pro subscription if you start one. We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Data retention & deletion

Your data stays until you delete it or close your account. To delete your account and everything in it, email us and we’ll remove it.
